To me, happiness is those little moments that occur that just make you feel lucky to be alive. Happiness is loving with abandonment. Happiness is furry bunnies. Happiness is everywhere if you stop and look around.
I asked some of my favourite happy people what happiness means to them:
The key to happiness for me is learning to be grateful for all that I have. Most people tend to focus on what they don’t have, and are always striving to attain more. Instead of postponing my happiness until the next big thing, I like to stop and think about all the things that make me happy today – and there are many. Nicole, A Dash Of Compassion
Gratitude is the most powerful tool we have in achieving happiness. Lisa, Vegan Culinary Crusade
When I live in the moment I am happy. The little things – sights, smells, taste, good conversation – are what make life so precious. Gillian Young, Freelance Writer
A quote that resonates most with me “I am so fascinated by happiness and what brings us to it. (Note the way this is phrased- it does not come to us, happiness is not passive, we go to it, we bring ourselves to it, it is a journey, not an affliction or a bit of luck).” Graydon Moffat, Clinical Luxury By Nature
Happiness comes from having big beautiful bowel movements. Kyla Schmidt, Colon Hydrotherapist
Being present and choosing a positive state of mind are essential to everyday happiness. Letting go of the past, forgiveness and looking at everyday as a new beginning will help lift depression. To stay happy means getting outside and moving your butt every single day, choosing foods that will nourish and heal you. Drink in the sunshine with your green smoothie and treat everyone around you with kindness and respect. Choose love and light instead of hate and eat lots of kale and chocolate:) Annaliisa Kapp, Holistic Nutritionist
I find happiness in the moments of kind eye contact/facial expressions exchanged with close friends and strangers. Natasha Oliver, Deep Roots Design

Happiness is simple as waking up… Every morning we each have the blessing of being able to create everything in our day, if we choose to be the creator! Tash Jefferies
