sensational YOU summer detox

The word detox feels a bit overused but I promise you, the concept of detoxification is important! While we may associate detoxing with starvation, weird juices and herbal supplements, detoxing is so much more than that.

It is true that the human body is designed to detoxify itself through various channels (ie the liver, kidneys, colon, skin and lymphatic system) but the issue is a question of how many of us have bodily systems that are functioning optimally? Do you eat enough fruits and vegetables and get enough fibre? Are you drinking enough water? Or maybe you start your day with a large double-double coffee, a white bagel with cream cheese and maybe a cigarette or two. Maybe lunch is takeout from a burger joint with a side of french fries and pop. Only to come home out at night too tired to move, so you order takeaway pizza for dinner.

Lacking energy, being fatigued, weight gain, dull skin and hair, acne, bloating, less than 1-3 bowel movements a day, hormonal imbalance, inflammation and food cravings mean that your body is not functioning optimally and it may be a sign that it’s time to detox.

A detox is a way for us to reconnect with our bodies and ‘reset’ them by consuming whole foods, getting plenty of rest and paying attention to how we feel both physically and mentally.

Some of the many benefits of detoxing include:

Weight loss
Increase energy
Improve digestion
Clear and bright skin
Reduce food cravings
Strengthen immune system
Improve sleep quality
Improve concentration
Decrease stress
Increase sex drive

These sound like pretty great benefits right? And the best part is, you don’t have to starve or shell out a fortune to reap these rewards! This is why I have created the Sensational YOU Summer Detox, a 7-day  detox with 4-day post-detox transition.

This program includes a 70-page ebook guide filled with valuable detox-friendly information, over 85+ whole food, plant-based, gluten-free recipes, a 7-day detox meal  plan, a 4-day transition meal plan, daily emails over the course of the detox and a private Facebook group where you can ask questions, post photos and share your progress.

Group detox starts Wednesday, July 17th. Register now for $10, price will increase on July 10th.

I am so glad you wrote about detoxing. I think detoxes and cleanses get a bad reputation but they are truly necessary for our bodies. Thank you for explaining!
